Integrative counsellor & hypnotherapist
PgDip, MSc, BSc (Hons)
I came to hypnotherapy initially to help with my own anxiety which was a huge struggle when I first went to university. My focus for a long time has been working with people who have anxiety and helping them learn to manage it so that they can achieve the things they want to. It was thanks to hypnotherapy that I was able to complete further qualifications.

Welcome, I am a BACP registered counsellor and hypnotherapist based in Andover. I have been practicing since 2011 and over the years have specialised in working with anxiety, self doubt and stress.
My journey to being an integrative counsellor
Over the years I have added to my therapy work by undertaking qualifications in psychology and its clinical applications, mindfulness-based CBT, counselling, and psychotherapy which have helped me understand more of the challenges behind anxiety and give me extra tools to work with the various anxiety disorders.
My aim as a therapist is to help you understand yourself and develop compassion for the parts of you that you consider to be unhelpful. Help may look different for different people and different issues, for some coping and calming strategies such as hypnotherapy or mindfulness-based CBT can make a huge difference. For others it is important to understand how you got to this point and explore the things that have happened to you.
In my spare time I have a huge love of nature and the outdoors which lead me to conduct my master’s research on nature connection and mental wellbeing. I enjoy practicing mindfulness in nature and filling my phone up with pictures of sunsets, sunrises, mushrooms, trees, and anything else I see and enjoy.

BACP registration
It may surprise you to know that the counselling and psychotherapy professions are not regulated in the UK. This means that anyone can call themselves a counsellor, psychotherapist, hypnotherapist or psychologist and advertise their services.
In the UK there are a couple of voluntary registers that are recognised by the professional standards authority for counsellors and psychotherapists. These registers require their practitioners to have appropriate qualifications, insurance and adhere to an ethical code.
My personal belief is that mental health should be taken seriously. My qualifications are recognised by the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and the British Psychological Society, as such I am a registered practitioner with the BACP.
